FM of Kyrgyzstan meets with deputy head of Presidential Administration of Russia

Bishkek, March 6, 2022 / Kabar /. As part of the official visit of Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Ruslan Kazakbaev to Russia on March 5, 2022, timed to coincide with the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Russian Federation, he met with Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation Dmitry Kozak.

The press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan said that during the talks, the sides discussed topical issues on the bilateral agenda, noted with satisfaction the high level of political dialogue, the progressive nature of Kyrgyz-Russian relations in the spirit of alliance and strategic partnership. They stressed the importance of building up trade, economic, investment, cultural and humanitarian cooperation, as well as in the field of strengthening stability and security in the Central Asian region.

Kazakbaev, attaching importance to the issues of ensuring sustainable security and stability in the world, stressed that the Kyrgyz Republic shares the concerns in the field of security and the need to provide security guarantees for all countries.

Discussing the situation around Ukraine, the head of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry, proceeding from the need to resolve any conflict exclusively by political and diplomatic means, emphasized the particular importance of the parties reaching mutually acceptable solutions as soon as possible to establish peace, preventing further casualties, primarily among the civilian population, as well as the development of the situation into a global confrontation countries and peoples. He noted the importance of finding any opportunities to resolve the conflict, including by creating new formats and mechanisms if the existing ones have stopped working.
