Bishkek, June 14, 2021 . / Kabar / . A ceremony of presenting copies of credentials by Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Kyrgyzstan Ibrahim Al-Radi to Kyrgyz Minister of Foreign Affairs Ruslan Kazakbaev was held in Bishkek Monday.
During the meeting, Ruslan Kazakbaev congratulated the ambassador with the appointment, and discussed issues of bilateral cooperation in various fields of mutual interest, the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry said.
The sides emphasized the need to give the Kyrgyz-Saudi relations additional momentum and expand cooperation in both bilateral and multilateral formats.
Besides, Ibrahim Al-Radi said that according to the decision of the Saudi authorities, in order to take additional measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection, the pilgrimage of Muslims to Mecca (Hajj) this year will be allowed only for their own citizens.
Minister Kazakbaev assured the above information will be brought to the relevant state bodies and the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kyrgyzstan.
The ambassador also informed about the intention of Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud to visit Kyrgyzstan in mid-July this year.
Given the importance of this event, Kazakbaev expressed the willingness of the Kyrgyz side to receive the head of the foreign ministry of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
