Bishkek, Jan. 24, 2019. / Kabar /. A telephone conversation took place today between Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Chingiz Aidarbekov and Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan Beibut Atamkulov at the initiative of the Kazakh side, the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reported.
During the telephone conversation, the issue of the incident on the Kyrgyz-Kazakh state border was raised. In particular, the sides discussed the circumstances of the situation on January 23, 2019 related to the illegal crossing of the state border and the use of firearms by employees of the State Border Service of the Kyrgyz Republic. It was noted that at present the relevant authorities of the two countries are closely cooperating, the necessary assistance is being rendered to the relatives of the deceased.
The ministers also discussed issues of bilateral cooperation in the complex, noting the importance of a mutual focus on strengthening and developing the traditionally friendly and fraternal relations between the two countries.
