Bishkek, April 15, 2024 / Kabar/. A meeting was held in Tashkent on April 14 between the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan and Oman, Jeenbek Kulubaev and Said Albusaidi, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
The parties noted the high potential for the development of mutually beneficial cooperation in the political, economic, investment, cultural and humanitarian spheres, as well as the importance of exchanging visits at the highest and high levels in the near future.
Kulubaev proposed creating an intergovernmental commission for the development of cooperation and intensifying work to expand the legal framework between the two countries. In order to establish direct ties between the business circles of Kyrgyzstan and Oman, Kulubaev also proposed creating a Kyrgyz-Oman Business Council.
The head of the foreign policy department of the Kyrgyz Republic invited the Omani side to take active participation at a high level in the Investment Forum of Central Asian countries and the Cooperation Council of the Arab States of the Persian Gulf planned in July in Issyk-Kul.
The meeting took place as part of participation in the second meeting of foreign ministers of the Strategic Dialogue “Central Asia - Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Persian Gulf”.
