FMs of Kyrgyzstan and Poland had phone conversation

Bishkek, Apr. 21, 2020 / Kabar /. A telephone conversation took place between Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Chingiz Aidarbekov and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland, Jacek Chaputovic.

The sides paid special attention to the need for joint practical cooperation in the fight against coronavirus infection in the context of the spread of a pandemic in the world and its negative socio-economic consequences, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic said.

Aidarbekov thanked Chaputovic for sending Polish doctors within the WHO to help Kyrgyzstan to counteract the spread of the COVID-19 virus. The possibilities of establishing direct contacts between medical institutions and the Ministries of Health of the two countries were discussed.

Separately, the issues of alleviating the situation of Kyrgyz citizens in Poland were discussed, including the possibility of assisting the Polish side in extending the validity of visas, creating conditions for protecting the health of students and labor migrants.

The sides will continue to maintain constant working contact to resolve pressing issues on the bilateral agenda.

In addition, the ministers agreed to hold the next inter-MFA political consultations at the level of deputy ministers in the format of an online conference in the near future.
