FMs of Kyrgyzstan and the Maldives sign agreement on mutual visa-free regime

Bishkek, Sept. 25, 2022 / Kabar /. Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Jeenbek Kulubaev met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Maldives Abdullah Shahid on the sidelines of the 77th session of the UN General Assembly in New York.

In order to expand the geography of the visa-free regime, within the framework of the meeting, the signing ceremony of the Agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan and the Government of the Republic of Maldives on mutual exemption from visa requirements was held.

The Agreement provides for visa free regime for citizens - holders of general civil passports, as well as diplomatic and service / official passports of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Maldives for entry, exit, transit and temporary stay in the territory of the states of the Parties for up to 30 (thirty) days.

At the end of the meeting, the sides expressed their intention to promote the development of friendly relations and comprehensive interaction between the two countries.
