FMs of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan discuss issues of deepening strategic partnership

Bishkek, May 13, 2022. / Kabar /. Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Jeenbek Kulubaev and acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Vladimir Norov met in Dushanbe on the sidelines of the meeting of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the CIS member states.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, the sides discussed topical issues on the agenda of the Kyrgyz-Uzbek cooperation, prospects for deepening strategic partnership and the implementation of previously reached agreements. They focused on the need to complete the negotiation process on the delimitation and demarcation of the Kyrgyz-Uzbek State border as soon as possible.

The foreign ministers exchanged views on the implementation of investment projects in the field of transport and hydropower.

The sides expressed their mutual readiness to further expand and deepen Kyrgyz-Uzbek relations on the basis of friendship, good neighborliness and strategic partnership, as well as organizing visits at the highest and high levels.
