FMs of Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan discuss cooperation in socio-economic sphere

Bishkek, April 3, 2021 / Kabar /. Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Ruslan Kazakbaev on the sidelines of the CIS Ministerial Council in Moscow held a bilateral meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Aziz oglu Bayramov.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, during the negotiations, the sides thoroughly discussed the development of bilateral relations, including the schedule of political contacts, as well as mutual visits at the highest and high levels.

The heads of ministries also agreed to further build up interaction between the two foreign ministries by organizing in the near future the first inter-ministerial consultations at the level of deputy ministers via videoconference.

In addition, they reaffirmed their mutual disposition to further build up bilateral cooperation, in particular through the implementation of specific projects in the socio-economic sphere.

Special attention was paid to the current state of the Kyrgyzstan-Azerbaijan Friendship Park and the Heidar Aliyev Secondary School in Bishkek, the construction of which is planned to be completed by the official visit of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to the Kyrgyz Republic.

It is noted that an exchange of views also took place on key international and regional issues, especially through the Turkic Council.
