Bishkek, Apr. 24, 2020. /Kabar/. Today, Apr. 24, 2020 Kyrgyzstan's Foreign Minister Chingiz Aidarbekov held phone conversation with Deputy Prime Minister for Judicial Reform and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria Ekaterina Zaharieva.
During the conversation, the ministers discussed measures taken by the countries to combat the COVID-19 coronavirus infection, the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry said.
The two FMs exchanged views on consular issues, and agreed on intensifying bilateral cooperation, expanding the legal framework and economic relations.
The issues of alleviating the situation of Kyrgyz citizens in Bulgaria have been considered separately, including the possibility of the Bulgarian side's assisting in extending visas and creating conditions for protecting the health of students and migrant workers.
In addition, Chingiz Aidarbekov and Ekaterina Zaharieva agreed to hold inter-ministerial political consultations at the level of deputy ministers through an online conference in the near future.
The sides paid attention to multilateral cooperation in the framework of international organizations.
