FMs of Kyrgyzstan, Cambodia sign memorandum of understanding

Bishkek, Sept. 24, 2024 . / Kabar / . New York hosted on Sept. 23 a meeting between Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Jeenbek Kulubaev and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Kingdom of Cambodia Sok Chenda Sophea.

At the beginning of the meeting, the parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the establishment of bilateral consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affaira of Kyrgyzstan and the Kingdom of Cambodia.

In the course of the conversation, the ministers discussed prospects for further development of bilateral cooperation in various spheres, including interaction within the framework of international organizations. Attention was also paid to the importance of interaction between small countries in areas of mutual interest.

Kulubaev expressed gratitude for the support provided within the framework of international organizations and stressed the need to continue this practice. He suggested holding interdepartmental consultations at the level of deputy ministers or heads of departments.

In addition, it was suggested to organize exchange visits at the level of ministers and above, during which further areas of cooperation could be discussed in detail.
