Bishkek, June 29, 2020. /Kabar/. Today, June 29 a meeting by videoconference of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Chingiz Aidarbekov and Finland Pekka Haavisto was held, the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry said.
During the meeting, the two diplomats discussed the issue of boosting bilateral trade and investment ties with emphasis on the successful experience of Finland in the field of "green economy" and renewable energy sources.
The importance of progressive development of bilateral relations and strengthening of cooperation through multilateral cooperation within the European Union and the United Nations was noted.
The sides exchanged views on the current epidemiological situation and measures being taken to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.
An agreement was reached on strengthening practical cooperation between the parties in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic and its socio-economic consequences.
