FMs of Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan discuss prospects for bilateral cooperation

Bishkek, Jan. 14, 2019. /Kabar/. Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Chingiz Aidarbekov held a bilateral meeting with Kazakhstan’s Foreign Minister Beibut Atamkulov within the first meeting of the India-Central Asia Dialogue with the participation of Afghanistan in the city of Samarkand.

During the meeting, Aidarbekov congratulated Atamkulov on his appointment to a high position and wished him success in this responsible government post.

The heads of foreign ministries of the two countries noted with satisfaction the ongoing development of the good neighborly and friendly relations between Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan, discussed in detail the prospects for the Kyrgyz-Kazakh cooperation and the implementation of agreements reached between the heads of state and government of the two countries in 2017 and 2018. At the same time, special attention was paid to the solution of topical issues, including the cross-border cooperation.

In addition, the sides reviewed the schedule of events planned for 2019 at the highest and high levels. Aidarbekov invited Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Atamkulov to pay Kyrgyzstan on a reciprocal official visit at a convenient time for him.
