Bishkek, March 9, 2021. / Kabar /. Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Ruslan Kazakbaev held on Tuesday a phone talk with his Tajik counterpart Sirodjiddin Mukhriddin.
The foreign ministers of the two countries discussed current issues of Kyrgyz-Tajik cooperation and outlined the prospects for further interaction.
During the phone conversation, a detailed exchange of views on the organization of events at high and highest levels in the near future took place.
Kazakbaev and Mukhriddin agreed that the negotiations of the Kyrgyz and Tajik government delegations on the delimitation and demarcation of the Kyrgyz-Tajik state border, scheduled for March 16, 2021 in Guliston, Sughd Province, Tajikistan, will allow the sides to continue work on the description of the remaining sections of the state border.
They also stressed the importance of holding in the near future the next 17th meeting of the Kyrgyz-Tajik Intergovernmental Commission on the Integrated Consideration of Bilateral Issues.
The top diplomats of the two countries agreed to hold regular Kyrgyz-Tajik inter-ministerial consultations at the level of deputy foreign ministers under the Program of Cooperation between the Foreign Ministries of the two countries for 2021-2022.
In the course of the phone talk, Mukhriddin invited Kazakbaev to participate in the 9th Ministerial Conference on Afghanistan - The Heart of Asia, to be held on March 30, 2021 in Dushanbe.
The ministers agreed to maintain constant communication to discuss issues of Kyrgyz-Tajik multifaceted interaction.
