Food and beverages’ prices up by 13.2% in Kyrgyzstan since beginning of year

Bishkek, Dec. 10, 2020. /Kabar/. In January-November 2020 (compared to December of the previous year) the growth of consumer prices in the country as a whole amounted to 7.2%. This became known during a briefing at the National Statistics Committee of the republic.

Prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages increased by 13.2%, alcohol and tobacco products - by 6.2%, tariffs for services provided to the population - by 2.2 %, the prices of non-food products - by 1.2 %.

The maximum increase in consumer prices and tariffs since the beginning of the current year (10%) was registered in Talas Oblast of the republic, which is due to the greatest increase in prices for food products and non-alcoholic beverages (by 20.1%).
