Food security indicators improved in Kyrgyzstan significantly

Bishkek, Dec. 13, 2024. / Kabar /. Since December 2021, food security indicators have improved significantly. This is reported in the World Bank study “Listening to the Kyrgyz Republic”.

According to the document, the share of households with food security has doubled from 41% to 86%.

In addition, from December 2021 to October 2024, there was a steady decline in the number of households selling assets or reducing consumption to meet basic needs, indicating an improvement in overall household stability over this period.
