Bishkek, July 12, 2018. / Kabar /. For 21 years, Kyrgyzstan has earned only $ 8 billion from sale of Kumtor’s gold, First Deputy Chairman of the Association of Mining Geologists Duishenbek Kamchybekov told at Kabar Agency.
According to his data, based on the analysis, to date, from 1996 to 2017, Kumtor produced 457 tons of gold. About 360 tons of them were sold.
"The total revenue received from the sale of gold since 1996 amounted to $ 8.1 billion. Of this amount, Kyrgyzstan received $ 1 billion 215 million in the form of deductions and taxes, and in the form of other purchases - $3 billion 100 million. That is, only 40% of the total profit is left in Kyrgyzstan," said Duishenbek Kamchybekov.
