Foreign ministers of Central Asian countries and USA meets in Tashkent

Bishkek, Feb. 3, 2020. / Kabar /. The Kyrgyz delegation led by Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Chingiz Aidarbekov took part in the C5 +1 Ministerial Meeting ( Central Asia + USA cooperation format) in Tashkent, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

The meeting was attended by the foreign ministers of Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and the US Secretary of State.

The meeting participants discussed issues of cooperation in the field of regional trade and the water-energy sector, border security.

Aidarbekov told about the national priorities of Kyrgyzstan in accordance with the agenda, proposing to strengthen regional cooperation in this format with an emphasis on trade and economic cooperation, both between the countries of Central Asia and in their relations with the United States.

As part of this event, Aidarbekov held a number of bilateral meetings, in particular, with the US Secretary of State Pompeo and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Kamilov.
