Foreign Ministers of CIS convene in Minsk

Bishkek, April 6, 2018 / Kabar /. The meeting of the Council of CIS Foreign Ministers has started in Minsk.

At the meeting in the Belarusian capital, the ministers will discuss international and regional problems, prospects for deepening cooperation in law enforcement, cultural, humanitarian and military spheres. Altogether there are 13 issues on the agenda.

The ministers will have to approve draft agreements on cooperation in combating crimes in the sphere of information technology and the Interstate Program for Joint Measures to Combat Crime for 2019-2023.

"The agenda also includes items on cooperation in the military sphere, in particular, on amendments to the regulations governing the activities of the Council of Defense Ministers of the CIS countries and its Secretariat," the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

A number of documents approved after the meeting will be submitted to the Council of Heads of Government and the Council of Heads of State of the CIS in 2018.

Kyrgyzstan is represented at this meeting by Foreign Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Erlan Abdyldaev.
