Foreign Ministers of Kyrgyzstan and Russia meet in Tashkent

Bishkek, March 28, 2018. / Kabar /. Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Erlan Abdyldayev met with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov on the sidelines of the Tashkent conference on Afghanistan.

The press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported that during the meeting Abdyldaev expressed his condolences to Lavrov in connection with the March 26 tragic events in Kemerovo. He said that the people and government of Kyrgyzstan are mourning along with the families of those killed and injured as a result of a fire in a shopping center in Kemerovo.

The sides discussed topical issues of Kyrgyz-Russian cooperation and interaction within the framework of international organizations.

The foreign ministers noted that the current state of the Kyrgyz-Russian interaction is characterized by the progressive and dynamic development of strategic partnership and alliance.

The sides also touched upon the preparation for the forthcoming Kyrgyz-Russian Intergovernmental Commission.
