Bishkek, May 11, 2021 . / Kabar / . Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Ruslan Kazakbaev and Tajikistan Sirojiddin Mukhriddin held talks in China, the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reported.
The negotiations took place Tuesday in Xi'an on the eve of the second China + Central Asia (C+C5) foreign ministers’ meeting.
The foreign ministers of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan noted a strong commitment to all previously reached agreements and mutual respect for the territories and borders of the two countries, strict compliance with previously signed protocols, and outlined further joint actions aimed at maintaining peace and stability in the border area.
They exchanged views on topical issues on the agenda of Kyrgyz-Tajik relations and discussed the organization of events at high and highest levels in the near future.
The parties agreed that the completion of the legal registration of the state border between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan will help further stabilize the situation in the border areas of the two countries and have a positive impact on the entire range of practical interaction between the two countries.
