Bishkek, Feb.4, 2020. /Kabar/. Various options for Kyrgyz citizens to leave China are being considered, the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry said.
Kyrgyzstan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs recalled that due to the unfavorable epidemiological situation in China, against the coronavirus outbreak, the operational headquarters is functioning at the Kyrgyz Embassy in China.
The headquarters receive on a round-the-clock basis phone calls and appeals from citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic in China, including their relatives to provide necessary information and advice on logistics, as well as to render possible practical assistance.
"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in China in cooperation with China’s Foreign Ministry and other state bodies, including partner states, are continuing to work out various options for Kyrgyz citizens to leave," the report says.
In this regard, the Foreign Ministry recommends and calls on citizens of Kyrgyzstan in China to provide their addresses, contact details and other relevant information to the Consular Service Department of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry and the Kyrgyz foreign institutions in China.
Kyrgyz students in China created various groups in WeChat social network, each of which is registered from 200 to 500 participants, including employees of foreign institutions of Kyrgyzstan in China.
At the same time, the Foreign Ministry recalls the recommendations to refrain from traveling to China until the epidemiological situation associated with the outbreak of 2019-nCoV coronavirus in China is stabilized.
Kyrgyzstanis, currently residing in China are recommended as one of the main preventive measures, not to visit places of mass congestion and strictly follow the recommendations of local authorities and medical institutions.
Note that on Feb.2, 2020 18 Kyrgyz citizens were evacuated from China’s Wuhan city.
By special flight, Kyrgyzstanis were taken to Bishkek from Nur-Sultan, where they have arrived with the assistance of the Kazakh side.
