Foreign trade turnover of Kyrgyzstan amounts to over USD 352M in January 2021

In January 2021, the volume of foreign and mutual trade of Kyrgyzstan amounted to $352.4 million, Elvira Isenkulova, the head of the Economic Statistics and National Accounts Department of the country’s National Statistics Committee said at a press conference on Thursday.

In the period under review, the volume of foreign trade in goods of the Kyrgyz Republic decreased by 27.5% compared to January 2020, while exports decreased by 11.5% and imports - by 32.1%.

"The volume of mutual trade of the republic with member states of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) amounted to $169.4 million, declining by 19.7% compared to January 2020 with exports down by 20% and imports - by 19.6%. The largest share of mutual trade fell to Russia - 74.4% and Kazakhstan - 23.6%," Isenkulova added.
