Foreign trade turnover of Kyrgyzstan totals USD 3.8 bln since beginning of year

According to preliminary data, the volume of foreign and mutual trade in goods in January-July 2021 amounted to USD 3.8 billion and increased by 19.6% compared to January-July 2020, head of the Department of Economic Statistics and National Accounts of the National Statistical Committee Elvira Isenkulova told at a press conference.

She said that at that export supplies decreased by 16.5%, while import supplies, on the contrary, increased by 40.3%.

“Trade turnover with the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union in January-July 2021 amounted to USD 1.8 billion, and compared to the same period in 2020, the growth was 26%. At the same time, the volume of export supplies increased by 40.8%, and imports - by 21.7%. The largest share of mutual trade with the EAEU countries fell on Russia - 64.8% and Kazakhstan - 32.8%,” she said.
