Foreigners and stateless persons in Kyrgyzstan may renew registration within 10 days from lifting emergency regime

Bishkek, May 26, 2020 / Kabar /. The State Registration Service under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic states that, in accordance with Decree of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic dated May 19, 2020 No. 256, foreign citizens and stateless persons residing in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic can renew their registration within 10 business days without imposing penalties from the date of lifting the emergency mode.

According to the press service, today the emergency regime in the republic has not yet been lifted and, accordingly, foreign citizens and stateless persons residing in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic are given the opportunity not to go to registration offices for renewal of registration.

Thus, foreign citizens and stateless persons residing in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic will be able to renew their registration within 10 days after the cancellation of the emergency mode without imposing penalties.

This decision was made in order to minimize the risks of the spread of COVID-19 and to exclude crowds in public service centers and passport departments.
