Foreigners who escaped from prison at home detained in Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, Dec. 28, 2020 / Kabar /. Wanted foreign criminals have been detained in Kyrgyzstan, the press service of the State Committee for National Security reported.

The State Committee for National Security together with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic detained two citizens of one of the CIS countries in Jalal-Abad, who were hiding on the territory of Kyrgyzstan after escaping from places of detention for committing especially grave crimes.

The detainees illegally arrived in Kyrgyzstan in order to commit terrorist acts in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic with a further departure to the zone of armed conflict in Syria by using forged documents, the report said.

As part of the materials of pre-trial proceedings, the detainees were placed in the investigation isolator.

At present, investigative and operational measures are continuing to found out the involvement of other persons who have assisted the criminals.
