Bishkek, Feb. 12, 2019. /Kabar/. In 2018, forest crops were planted on 1 thousand 525 hectares of land, Director of the State Agency for Environmental Protection and Forestry Abdykalyk Rustamov told at a press conference at the Kabar News Agency.
He said that panting was made on the lands of the state forest fund. 11 hectares were created outside the state forest fund. Nurseries of tree and shrub species have been planted on an area of 13.9 ha. For the landscaping of residential areas, garden were established, and fast-growing species were planted.
“In addition, for the local population, 363.3 thousand ha of state forest lands, including 312.1 thousand ha of forest pastures have been offered for lease. In total, 35 million 587 thousand soms were paid for the lease, 12 million 413 thousand soms for pastures,” the director said.
