Bishkek, Oct.30, 2019. /Kabar/. Former adviser to ex-President Almazbek Atambayev Ikramjan Ilmiyanov has been sentenced to 7 years in prison. Such a decision was made today by judge of the Oktyabrsky District Court of Bishkek Damirbek Nazarov.
Thus, Ikramjan Ilmiyanov was found guilty and sentenced to 7 years in prison, and fined 1 thousand 600 estimated figures (KGS 160,000) with confiscation of property.
Ilmiyanov's term of sentence execution has been calculated since Oct. 20, 2018. One day, spent in custody is counted as 2 days.
The preventive measure taken against Ilmiyanov in the form of detention has not been changed.
KGS 10 million 397 thousand 235 were charged from Ilmiyanov in favor of victim Nikolay Gramovich.
“The main proof of Ilmiyanov's guilt is the direct testimony of witnesses,” the judge said.
Note that the former head of the President's Office Ikramjan Ilmiyanov was accused of receiving USD 150,000 from a firm for a positive decision to lift the arrest of trucks that were later removed from Kyrgyzstan. This criminal case also involves an employee of the Tax Service, who withdrew the amount of tax payments.
As a result of the investigation, Ilmiyanov was charged under Article 204(3) (serious fraud) of the Criminal Code of Kyrgyzstan, and former inspector of Bishkek City State Tax Service Shakirov, was charged under Article 320(3) (abuse of office) of the Criminal Code of Kyrgyzstan.
Earlier, in the course of the hearing the judge granted the lawyer's request to separate the cases of Ilmiyanov and Shakirov, as Shakirov could not attend court sessions due to illness.
Ilmiyanov was detained by employees of the State Committee for national Security in Moscow last October.
