Former MP Raikan Tologonov detained

Bishkek, March 29 / Kabar /. The State Committee for National Security detained former member of the Kyrgyz Parliament Raikan Tologonov within the framework of criminal case on the fact of looting, the press service of the State Committee for National Security reported.

Since March 16, 2017, the Investigation Department of the State National Security Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic has been investigating a criminal case instituted on the facts of robbery, willful destruction and damage to property, unauthorized occupation or seizure of residential and non-residential premises, buildings and structures, illegal turnover of precious metals, natural precious stones, art., theft or extortion of firearms, ammunition, explosives, illegal seizure of someone else's property during the April revolution in 2010.

The investigative and operational-search activities proved that the robbery of offices, apartment buildings, including those owned by former President Bakiyev’s family and their confidants, occurred from 7 to 10 April 2010 in Bishkek, were committed by a group of people under the direct supervision of the former deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh of the KR Raikan Tologonov.

The investigation found materials and testimonies from several witnesses, including those who participated in these crimes.

On March 28, 2017 Tologonov was charged with committing crimes of organization of robbery, organization of intentional destruction and damage to property, illegal acquisition, transfer, sale, storage, ammunition, explosives and by the decision of the Pervomaisky District Court, a preventive measure was taken in the form of detention in jail of the State National Security Committee for a period until the end of the investigation.
