Bishkek, August 2 / Kabar /. Sadyr Zhaparov, former member of Kyrgyz Parliament is sentenced to 11 years and 6 months of imprisonment in a strict regime colony. The Pervomaiskiy District Court of Bishkek took such a decision on August 2.
The court found him guilty for taking a hostage, when protesters held hostage governor of Issyk-Kul oblast Emilbek Kaptagaev during the protest meeting in Karakol on October 7, 2013.
Japarov can file an appeal with the Bishkek City Court within 10 days.
Recall, Sadyr Japarov was detained by the State Committee for National Security officers at the end of March 2017.
