Bishkek, August 2 / Kabar /. Five former officials, members of the movement “People's Parliament” are sentenced to various terms of imprisonment on charges of preparing for forcible seizure of power, preparing for the use of violence against a representative of power. The decision was taken by the Pervomaiskiy District Court of Bishkek on August 2.
By decision of the court, former deputy prime minister and ex-governor of Jalal-Abad oblast Bekbolot Talgarbekov and president of Consumer Corporation Tolubai Kolubaev were sentenced to 14 years of imprisonment in a penal colony, former finance minister Marat Sultanov to 10 years, Toigonbek Kalmatov to 5 years (conditionally) and Alexander Gusev to 6 years (conditionally).
Members of the opposition organization People's Parliament were arrested on May 12, 2016, on charges of an attempted violent change of power.
