Bishkek, May 29, 2018. / Kabar /. Former Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Sapar Isakov is accused of corruption, the press service of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
On May 29, 2018, the Security Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic, within the investigation of the criminal case, previously initiated on the fact of corruption during the modernization of the Bishkek thermal power plant, former Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Sapar Isakov has been charged of corruption and a preventive measure in the form of a written undertaking not to leave the country is imposed.
Sapar Isakov, being the head of the foreign policy department in the rank of the deputy head of the President's Office of the Kyrgyz Republic in 2013, while implementing the Bishkek HPP modernization project using his political position, by performing organized, pre-planned actions, lobbied the interests of a foreign company in the competitive selection of the contractor, as a result of which the interests of the state and society were damaged in an especially large amount.
