Bishkek, April 25 / Kabar /. The international economic forum "Development of the Economic Belt of the Silk Road - Intensification of Cooperation" took place in Bishkek today.
The main goal of the event, organized by the Kyrgyz Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (KSPP) with the support of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic and in conjunction with the Silk Road Chamber of International Commerce (Hong Kong, China), is the search for opportunities and prospects for linking the two largest integration projects - the Eurasian Economic Union and the Silk Road Economic Belt.
The issue of interaction of these two projects has been discussing at different levels for about two years, since 2015. And within the framework of the agreements reached earlier, the Eurasian Economic Commission (ECE), as the main supranational executive body of the EEU, is already preparing an Agreement on trade and economic cooperation between the EEU and China.
Today, the People's Republic of China, being one of the largest economies in the world, not only actively initiates, but also invests trillions of dollars in the development of the infrastructure project One Belt, One Road. Its participants are about 70 countries in the world, in which more than 60 percent of the world's population lives.
