Bishkek, Nov. 28, 2018. /Kabar/. A forum on the greenhouse industry of Kyrgyzstan has started in Bishkek. This is the first forum held in the country at the international level, Chairman of the Association of Greenhouses of Kyrgyzstan Tilek Toktogaziev told.
He said that the purpose of the event is revival of innovation in the greenhouse industry of the Kyrgyz Republic, as the dynamics in this area has not been very positive over the past few years.
Toktogaziev also noted that the greenhouse industry of Kyrgyzstan is one of the most important sectors in the economy, as it provides the republic with food. Today, all processes: cultivation, storage, processing, modernization of equipment, management and work experience require optimization and application of new technologies.
“A scientific approach is important here. This forum will open such a dialogue between government agencies and agribusiness. We have a huge number of greenhouses, which have losses from their industry. There are reasons for this, which we will discuss in detail today and we will look for solutions. This is the reason why the Association of Greenhouses in Kyrgyzstan was created, within which we set 3 priority tasks: reducing the operating costs of our greenhouse farmers, increasing yields through the use of new technologies and price stabilization through sales, including through marketing and branding”, Toktogaziev said.
Along with the forum, an exhibition will be held, where agricultural technologies of domestic and foreign companies will be presented.
Within the framework of the forum, an excursion to the greenhouses of Chuy oblast will be held in order to familiarize international experts with the greenhouse industry and everyone who is interested and is planning to take up greenhouse business.
