Four vaccines against COVID-19 coronavirus infection have passed state registration in Kyrgyzstan, head of the pharmacological vigilance sector of the Department of Medicines and Medical Devices under the republic’s Ministry of Health and Social Development Zhyldyz Zhumagulova told a briefing Tuesday.
She noted coronavirus vaccines are new vaccines that are potentially created on new technological platforms and have not previously been used for the production of already registered vaccines.
“Vaccines are approved for use based on available safety data from clinical trials. On this basis, monitoring of adverse events and timely responses play an important role in vaccine safety," Zhumagulova said.
"In Kyrgyzstan, the Gam-COVID-Vac vaccine (Sputnik V), Sputnik Light Vector, Convidecia, and the inactivated COVID-19 vaccine BIBP developed by China National Biotec Group (CNBG), Sinopharm have passed state registration," the specialist added.
