Bishkek, July 4, 2020. /Kabar/. Four daytime medical inpatient centers will be opened in Bishkek. This order was given by Kyrgyzstan’s Prime Minister Kubatbek Boronov at a regular session of the Republican Headquarters, the Government’s press service reported Saturday.
"Now there are many people who cannot get to hospitals. They are occupied with severely ill patients. Medical inpatient centers are being opened in each of Bishkek districts with the force of the capital Mayor’s Office in order to ensure access for citizens with early symptoms of disease to timely medical care. Experienced doctors will be on duty here to advise and perform the necessary procedures," Boronov said.
He added each inpatient center has a capacity for 200 beds.
"They will be able to serve from 4 thousand to 6 thousand people a day. If necessary, the number of beds will be increased. Specialists recommend those who have primary symptoms of ARVI, pneumonia or flu to apply to these temporary medical centers. Mobile pharmacies with necessary drugs will be deployed there,” the prime minister stressed.
Boronov focused on the work of the ambulance service and 118 (COVID-19 self-assessment line).
"I ask to strengthen the work of 118 service. No one call should not go unanswered. The same requirement applies to emergency medical service. I’ll personally monitor the call statistics," Boronov said, recalling that the number of ambulances, as well as the number of medical teams, has been increased.
The head of the government instructed state bodies involved in activities in combating COVID-19 to strengthen their work, as the coordinated work of all involved parties determines how quickly the country will return to its previous life.
