Free rehabilitation training will be held for blind people in Bishkek

Bishkek, Jan. 9, 2018 / Kabar /. People with vision disabilities will receive free 6-month rehabilitation training in Kyrgyzstan, the Public Association Kyrgyz Federation of the Blind reported.

The Federation has announced recruitment for rehabilitation integration training, where those who have the first and second group of vision disabilities are invited to participate.

During the training, the project participants will master: writing and reading on Braille script, computer skills, self-orientation in a space with a white long stick, English and Russian languages, as well as self-service in the home, including cooking and cleaning around the house.

Classes will be held for six months 5 days a week from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the new American University of Central Asia's (AUCA) campus of Bishkek.

An important fact is that free accomodation will be provided to all participants for the duration of the training.

The project is implemented with the support of ex-president of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev.
