Bishkek, Jan. 11, 2019. /Kabar/. According to the results of the freestyle wrestling championship of Kyrgyzstan, the team of the Kyrgyz Republic won medals of all three types, the State Agency for Youth, Physical Culture and Sports reported on the results of the championship.
The tournament was held within the walls of the Palace of Sports named after Kojomkul Kaba uulu from January 9 to 10. Over 250 wrestlers from all over the country took part in the competition.
The event was aimed at selecting the best athletes who will perform in international competitions, championships and compete for licenses for the Summer Olympic Games in Tokyo.
On the first day of competition, bouts in five weight categories took place: 57 kg, 65 kg, 74 kg, 86 kg, 97 kg.
