French-German Cultural Institute to be established in Bishkek

Bishkek, July 26, 2021 . / Kabar / . Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Ruslan Kazakbaev received on Monday Ambassadors of Germany Monika Iversen and France Francois Delauss, the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry said.

The minister met with the ambassadors to discuss the establishment of a new Franco-German Cultural Institute in Bishkek.

The ambassadors of Germany and France informed the Kyrgyz side about the tasks and activities of the Franco-German Cultural Institute. At the initial stage, it is planned to open courses in German and French, and various cultural activities may take place then.

Monika Iversen and Francois Delauss added such an institute will be established only in Kyrgyzstan in the Central Asian region, and will become the fourth in the world, which confirms the successful cooperation of the German and French sides with Kyrgyzstan in the cultural and humanitarian sphere.

During the meeting, the sides stressed with satisfaction the high level of interaction with Germany and France in the bilateral and multilateral format of cooperation, an exchange of views on the current state and prospects of political dialogue between the countries.

Minister Ruslan Kazakbaev also expressed hope that this initiative will strengthen cultural and humanitarian interaction between the countries.
