Further work to ensure protection of rights and interests of children discussed in Bishkek

Bishkek, April 27, 2022. / Kabar /. Commissioner for Children's Rights of Kyrgyzstan Asel Chynbayeva met today with delegates of the Delegation of the European Union to Kyrgyzstan to discuss further joint work to ensure the protection of the rights and interests of children, the press service of the president reported.

The sides exchanged views on the current state of cooperation in the field of protecting the rights of the child of Kyrgyzstan with the European Union (EU).

Assel Chynbaeva, noting that Kyrgyzstan has a long-standing partnership with the EU, outlined the main tasks of her work, plans and ideas.

She also spoke about the importance of analyzing the current situation in Kyrgyzstan related to children in general, including those who are in a difficult life situation and improving, developing a single database on children in the country.

In turn, the project manager of the EU Delegation to Kyrgyzstan, Yotam Lehrer, supported the initiative of the commissioner for children's rights and noted their readiness to assist in ensuring comprehensive support for children within the framework of the Justice for All program and other programs.
