Games of first football championship of Central Asia to be held in Bishkek

Bishkek, March 14, 2023. /Kabar/. Bishkek and Tashkent will host games of the first championship of the Football Association of Central Asia (CAFA), RIA Novosti reported.

The Russian team has also been invited to participate in the upcoming tournament. The championship will be held from 9 to 21 June. Group stage matches will be held at the Bishkek and Tashkent stadiums.

According to the Russian sports channel Match TV, all six members of the football association — Tajikistan, Iran, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and Afghanistan — confirmed their participation in CAFA 2023 among the national teams.

Earlier the football associations of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan discussed the possibility of organizing such an event at a meeting in Tashkent.
