Garment factory is being built in Kyrgyzstan's Osh city

Osh, Aug. 16, 2021. / Kabar /. Acting Mayor of Osh city Almaz Mambetov got acquainted with the progress of construction of a Kyrgyz Textile LTD LLC textile factory in Osh city.

Mambetov got acquainted with the buildings under construction of sewing workshops, a polyclinic, a canteen, a laboratory and an administrative building with a total area of ​​23 thousand square meters.

Nurseiit Muratov, deputy director general of the factory briefed about the factory.

He said that the textile factory in the city of Osh will provide jobs for about 7 thousand people. “This project was launched in July 2018, the construction of the factory was divided into three stages. The first stage is almost complete. Currently, financing is expected from the RKDF (Russian Kyrgyz Development Fund), with the assistance of which the necessary equipment of Japanese and German production will be purchased, including sewing, cutting, printing equipment, and embroidery. The first batch of equipment is expected to arrive by the end of September. The launch of the first stage of the project is scheduled for the end of September. Project investment amount: USD 153 million. Including USD 35 million allocated for the first stage.

This project is considered a textile cluster. Within the first stage, a sewing workshop will be opened. In the future, it is planned to open a spinning shop, in which a thread in the amount of about 700 tons will be produced from cotton wool every day. Sales markets are a very promising area for us. In addition, a modern social town will be built here.

The project provides for the construction of a kindergarten and school, college and university, a hostel and a polyclinic, as well as solving issues with water and electricity supply, building sewerage systems and asphalting roads. According to the plans, the factory will annually produce 2 million pieces of clothing, including the planned daily production of knitted fabrics in the amount of 70-80 tons. I would like to note that the quality of the products manufactured here will meet international standards,” he said.

Kyrgyz Textile LTD LLC is the first textile factory under construction in the city of Osh since the country's independence.
