Gas poisoning kills six people in coal mine in Batken

Bishkek, Oct.7, 2019. /Kabar/. Six miners were killed as a result of gas poisoning in Batken Oblast.

According to the press service of the Kyrgyz Ministry of Emergency Situations, Sunday, Oct. 6 in the Uch-Korgon village rescuers took out the bodies of three miners from the mine: A.A., born in 1998, T.B., born in 1977 and M.T., born in 1986. All of them were poisoned by gas when they dug coal in the mine on their own.

Another fatal accident occurred on Oct. 5 in the Sulukta town, when a gas leak occurred at a coal mine. Rescuers pulled out five poisoned miners in serious condition, passing them to doctors, where three died later.
