Bishkek, Nov. 11, 2022. /Kabar/. Gross domestic product (GDP) in Kyrgyzstan in January-October of this year, according to preliminary estimates, amounted to about 689 billion soms, Deputy Chairman of the National Statistical Committee Bakytbek Shokenov told at a briefing.
He said that the indicator increased by 7% compared to January-October 2021.
Shokenov noted that the growth of GDP was affected by the increase in the volume of trade in the service sector. "The largest share in the structure of GDP fell on the service sector - 45%, the share of industry was 18%, agriculture - more than 14% and the share of construction - about 7%," he said.
“Excluding enterprises for the development of the Kumtor mine, the volume of GDP in January-October of this year amounted to more than 641 billion soms and increased by 5%,” the official noted.
