At the invitation of the Kyrgyz Embassy in Azerbaijan and Georgia, a delegation of the Georgian airline Georgian Wings, led by Vice President for Passenger Transportation Daniyar Uskenbaev and Advisor to the President of the airline Tamaz Metrevell, visited Bishkek, the diplomatic mission reported.
The delegation took part in a conference dedicated to the problems of tourism and aviation development in Kyrgyzstan, met with the leadership of the Civil Aviation Agency, the Department of Tourism under the Ministry of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as with leading tour operators in Kyrgyzstan.
Detailed negotiations were also held with the chairman of the board of Manas International Airport OJSC and the management of the airport’s structural divisions. As a result of successful negotiations with Kyrgyz partners with the assistance of the Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to Azerbaijan and Georgia Kairat Osmonaliev, Vice President of Georgian Wings airline Daniyar Uskenbaev announced plans to launch the first flight from Tbilisi to Bishkek in March of this year, on the Nooruz holiday.
It is planned to operate two flights per week with convenient connections to a flight to Prague. Thus, Georgia can become another “window to Europe” through the Caucasus region, the report said.
