Bishkek, Feb. 22, 2023 / Kabar/. Georgian investors were offered projects of ski resorts in Kyrgyzstan, the press service of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Temir Sariev, together with a group of local entrepreneurs, held talks in Georgia with potential partners. Following the talks, Georgian businessmen declared their readiness to carefully work out a project to improve the existing ones, as well as to consider the possibility of creating new winter tourism facilities.
“Georgia receives more than 9 million tourists annually, and the income is $3.5 billion. And such big numbers are brought by only 4 ski resorts located on the territory of the country. A very important point is that they all belong to the state, but management has been transferred to private companies,” Sariev said.
The Kyrgyz delegation visited the country at the invitation of Doppelmayr, an Austrian-Swiss group specializing in the production of ropeways and equipment for them.
