Bishkek, Sept. 2, 2024. / Kabar/. Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic Omurbek Tekebaev and Regional Director of the German company Intertek Irina Berenwald meet in Hamburg on August 29 to discuss issues of cooperation between this company and Kyrgyzstan.
The diplomatic mission reported that issues of certification of agricultural products in Kyrgyzstan, recognized in Europe and the world, were discussed. Intertek is one of the experienced and large companies in Germany, has 1000 certification laboratories and representative offices in more than 100 countries.
In 2023, with the assistance of the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Germany, the company signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the Public-Private Partnership Center under the National Investment Agency of the Kyrgyz Republic. The company expressed its readiness to cooperate with Kyrgyzstan and discuss the issue of creating a laboratory for certification of agricultural products in Kyrgyzstan.
During the meeting, issues of possible cooperation in the field of textile certification, fuel labeling and other issues were also discussed.
Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to organize a visit by Intertek Regional Director Irina Berenwald to Kyrgyzstan in the near future in order to discuss issues of cooperation with this company.
