Bishkek, March 26, 2024. / Kabar/. Germany plans to attract qualified medical workers from Central Asian countries to care for the sick and elderly, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
Such plans were discussed in Hamburg during a round table on the topic “Skilled workforce for the healthcare sector: focus on Central Asia,” where the ambassadors of Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan took part.
Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to Germany Omurbek Tekebaev in his speech noted the main areas of cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Germany on the issue of training qualified personnel and their employment in Kyrgyzstan and Germany and invited German companies to cooperate in this area.
Representatives of German companies noted the lack of qualified personnel in the field of healthcare and care for the elderly and sick and expressed their interest in cooperation.
The meeting participants were able to discuss in detail the possibilities for implementing such cooperation, including resolving issues related to teaching the German language and professional training, rules for the entry and stay of qualified personnel in Germany.
