Germany to allocate € 10 mln to Kyrgyzstan in frames of technical and financial cooperation

Bishkek, July 6 / Kabar /. Negotiations were held in Berlin on July 3-4, 2017, in the framework of bilateral technical and financial cooperation in 2017-2018 with the purpose of development between the governments of Kyrgyzstan and the Federal Republic of Germany.

The delegation of the Kyrgyz Republic was headed by Deputy Minister of Economy Almaz Sazbakov, and Germany - the head of the department for China; Central Asia; East Asia; Laos and Cambodia of the Federal Ministry of Economic Development and Development of Germany (BMZ) Kathrin Oellers.

The talks are resulted in allocating € 40.1 million by the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany to the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic within the framework of bilateral technical and financial cooperation for 2017-2018.

Of this amount, € 19 million are provided for projects of financial cooperation, and € 21.1 million for technical cooperation projects.

The sides emphasized that the aim of the cooperation on two main directions: "Sustainable economic development" and "Healthcare" is a contribution to ensuring long-term and productive employment and raising the level of both sexes and all population groups.

In addition, the sides agreed to intensify cooperation in the field of "green economy".

Also, the German side welcomed the initiative to launch a new national high-tech Taza Koom program and the desire of the Kyrgyz Republic in the field of development and confirmation that it will in the future be a reliable partner of the Kyrgyz Republic in combating poverty and improving living conditions.

In conclusion, the sides expressed their hope for the continuation and strengthening of bilateral cooperation.
