Bishkek, Oct. 2, 2018. /Kabar/. The employed population of Kyrgyzstan has a high level of education. Such data are published in the Education and Science in Kyrgyz Republic journal by the National Statistical Committee.
According to the report, this is due to the existing educational system: almost one in five of the employed population has a higher or incomplete higher education, every tenth has a secondary vocational education.
The educational level of urban employment is much higher than rural. In 2017, in the total number of the employed, the share of women with higher professional education was 27 percent, men - 17 percent, secondary vocational, about 16 percent and 7 percent respectively.
After receiving a general secondary education, girls have a greater desire to continue their studies, since employment opportunities for women without special training are limited.
Male employment predominates in the types of activities and occupations where there is enough general secondary or basic general (incomplete secondary) education, but professional training is required.
