Bishkek, Feb. 9, 2023 / Kabar/. A meeting was held between First Deputy Minister of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic Choro Seyitov and Country Director of the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) Viktor Wetzel on Wednesday.
During the meeting, Seyitov congratulated Wetzel on his appointment and wished him success in his new position. He informed about the ongoing socio-economic reforms and the implementation of the medium-term national program for the development of the country, as well as the supervised areas of the ministry, adopted programs and strategies.
The issues of regional development, trade, transport corridors and green economy, in particular low-carbon transport, were also discussed.
In turn, Wetzel announced the readiness of GIZ to assist in the development of the green economy, as well as the launch of a new regional trade development project from 2024.
In addition, issues of cooperation in various fields and the implementation of current projects were discussed.
At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness for further fruitful cooperation.
